We are very excited to bring back our popular “Planes, Trains, and Traveling Chefs” dinner series for a third year. Participating chefs include some of the hottest chefs in the United States who will cook with our chef Shane Ryan. Each dinner is six courses with chef Shane and the guest chef alternating each course and collaborating on one. The series will feature one visiting chef a month beginning in July and running through October.
“It’s always great to welcome talent from around the country and entertain them while introducing the chefs to all the awesome ingredients the Seattle area is known for during the best time of the year,” said chef Shane Ryan. “It’s an exciting weekend that culminates in a seriously epic dinner. It will definitely be another summer filled with great food and fun.”
Guest chefs tour Pike Place Market with Chef Shane Ryan before each dinner to plan their market-influenced dishes. Our intent is to raise awareness of the remarkable bounty that Pike Place Market has to offer, and the importance of open markets to the people of a city, its surrounding restaurants, and the greater culinary world.
The evenings begin at 6:00pm with a cocktail reception and passed hors d’oeuvres. The dinners begin at 6:30pm. The cost for each six course dinner with wine pairings and cocktails is $150 per person (including tax and tip), and $125 per person for food/hospitality industry.
